I started creating resin earrings 2010. I had been designing and making earrings and jewellery from pearls and semi-precious stones. I love colour and shape. So inspiring! I would go looking for materials and then create designs from what I found rather than designing a piece and then spend a lot of time finding the perfect components. Nature gives us so much to work with.
Moving to resin as a medium was also so inspiring. My first love is matte organic shapes in resin. I also product shiny pieces.
The colours of my state are so inspiring. Oranges and pinks of sunrise and sunset. Blues of the sky and ocean. Greens of the vegetation. Greys of stormy skies. Colours found in flowers and the reef. The list goes on. I personally love colour.
